​The restoration of the Erechtheion has been the first restoration intervention on the Acropolis carried out under the scientific supervision of ESMA (1979-1987). It included the restoration of the side walls, the west wall and the roofs of the north and the south porch, the repair of the NE corner of the monument, and the replacement of the Caryatids with cast copies.
