The Museum of Byzantine Culture invites you cordially to the lecture of the Associate Professor, Mr. Stavros Mamaloukos, architect-restorer, titled “Byzantine architecture in Mount Athos” on Monday 23 April 2018 at 20.00 in the Amphitheatre “Melina Mercouri” of the Museum. Dr. Agathoniki Tsilipakou, director of the Museum, will recite the prologue.

The speaker will present the evolution of architecture and more specifically of church building during the Byzantine period in Mount Athos. Moreover, he will analyze its specific features.
