Konstantinos Arvanitopoulos , Greek Κωνσταντίνος Αρβανιτόπουλος is a professor of International Relations at the University of Athens Pantion and education and culture minister in the government of Andonis Samaras .Arvanitopoulos studied political science at the University of Athens Pantion and earned a master's and doctoral degrees in International Relations at the American University in Washington, DC , whose fellow he was. From 1987 to 1989 he was a lecturer in International Relations and Comparative Politics at the School of International Service at American University. From 1990 to 1992 he was a visiting scientist at the Center for European Studies at Harvard University , then to 1995, Assistant Professor of International and European Policy at the Department of Public and International Affairs at George Mason University in Virginia, USA.From 2000 to 2009 he served as Director General of the Institute for Democracy Konstantinos Karamanlis worked. He also headed the political office of the Chairman of New Democracy , Antonis Samaras.In the interim government of Prime Minister Loukas Papademos was appointed in 2011 as a representative of New Democracy as Vice Minister, Ministry of Education, in the Government of Andonis Samaras in June 2012 as Minister for Education, Religious Affairs, Culture and Sport.
