The Greek Ministry of Culture and Sports establishes, coordinates and supports an International Network of Ancient Drama, with the participation of the National Theatre of Greece, the Northern National Theatre of Thessaloniki, the Lyceum of Epidaurus and the Attiko School in Eleusis. The network consists of educational programs and artistic activities focused on the study of Ancient Drama and the familiarization of the participants and the community at large with its form and content.
The International Network of Ancient Drama is a three-year project and its first year (2017), has been completed successfully with an important number of participations from people around the world. Currently the National Theatre of Greece, the Lyceum of Epidaurus and Attiko School are inviting applications by interested artists to participate in any of the three summer programs listed below, for this year. This year two more cultural organisations will be part of the International Network of Ancient Drama, the Municipal Theatre of Ioannina and the Festival of Filippi.
