“Rebetiko meets Flamenco and the Fados”: a concert by the Hellenic Ministry of Culture to welcome the European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018

The Hellenic Ministry of Culture and Sports welcomes the European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018 with the musical concert “Rebetiko meets Flamenco and the Fados”, scheduled to take place at the Megaron-the Athens Concert Hall (Dimitris Mitropoulos Hall), on Wednesday February 7th at 19:00. The event is placed under the auspices of H.E the President of the Hellenic Democracy, Mr. Prokopis Pavlopoulos.

Three distinct urban popular traditions, all of them born and developed in the ports of the Mediterranean, meet on stage to mark the occasion of the inscription of Rebetiko on the UNESCO representative list of the intangible cultural heritage of humanity.
