The magic of recreating the original. Masterpieces of ancient Greek art revive in the workshops of the Archaeological Resources Fund of the Greek Ministry of Culture
A promotional spot featuring the molding and casting workshops of the Archaeological Resources Fund (ARF) of the Greek Ministry of Culture was created to inform the local and international public on the uniqueness of the copies produced in them:

Faithful copies of emblematic Greek museum exhibits are exclusively produced in the ARF workshops in modernly equipped facilities and conservation labs in Athens (area of Agios Ioannis Rendi) and in Pella, Northern Greece. The workshops’ collection is continuously enriched with new cast productions.

Faithful copies are handmade reproductions of unique expertise, marvelously crafted by skillful sculptors, painters, conservators and craftsmen, and are available in all ARF gift shops in archaeological sites, monuments and museums of Greece. They are also produced for universities and similar institutions for educational purposes.

The molds and models from which the copies are produced belong exclusively to ARF and are not available in the market (Law 3028/2002, as amended in 2016). In addition, the law defines as faithful copies only those having the ARF seal plaque affixed to them during their production.

The spot, which is entitled “The magic of recreating the original”, was conceived by Mimika Giannopoulou (concept, story line & narrative / scientific guidance) and directed by Michalis Asthenidis, while the production design and management was carried out by Marina Galanopoulou.
